The Kustom™ Hydraulic Control System will keep your
equipment running properly and prevents overheating by
automatically reversing the airflow direction to purge debris
from the cooling cores.
In the past we have utilized a variable pitch fan adapted to a
hydraulic motor to purge the cooling cores. While this concept
has worked well, we have developed a much more cost effective
alternative that provides the same end result. We have simply
combined our Kustom™ Electric Control Module with a hydraulic
valve assembly to take control of the existing OEM hydraulic
fan. 
Not only will the Kustom™ Hydraulic Control System
keep your equipment cool, it will also keep the cooling cores
clean of dirt and debris. The controller will operate the fan as
a normal cooling fan moving air across the cooling core
fins. When the controller signals the fan to purge, it will
reverse rotation and move the air in the opposite direction
clearing debris from the cooling cores. If the controller is set up
to cool on demand through a temperature switch, the fan
will automatically move into a neutral position when airflow is
not required. This will speed engine warm ups and free
up horsepower when there is not a cooling demand for the
fan.
A hydraulic reversing fan is not new technology. We have simply
taken that same technology and automated the entire purge
process with our fully programmable logic board
controller.
